VTU that is Visvesvaraya Technological University is one of leading universities in India for Technical education and started in the year 1998.VTU named after Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya, and is located in Belgum Karnataka.VTU provides both UG and PG courses which are having deferent boards such as Civil Engg Board, ME Engg Board,EC Engg Board CSE Board etc. VTU MCA falls under CSE Board which is meant to look after computer education at all stages.VTU is biggest technological university in India. Having nearly 140 colleges in 27 programmes in 66 deferent disciplines. Every year nearly 7500 seats allotted for PG courses such as MCA,MBA,M.Tech.VTU is having agreement for research with lot of MNC’s such as IBM, INTEL Asia Electronics Inc., Ingersoll-Rand (India) Ltd., Bangalore and Microsoft etc.
VTU MCA is one of most demanded MCA course in India. As the course study designed in such a way to meet the software industry requirements. Presently nearly 45 colleges under VTU providing MCA course of study. VTU MCA colleges are all top institutions having grate infrastructure and staff. VTU MCA is approved by AICTE and its three year full time study course.
Admission for VTU MCA:
Admissions will be on the basis of common entrance test which is known as PGCET-VTU. Rank will be assigned to students on the basis of test and seats will be distributed on merit basis only. To write PGCET exams its having exam centers nearly 17 locations.
Admission Procedure:
In order to obtain admission to VTU MCA course in any Institution in the State of Karnataka through PGCET Cell, a candidate shall appear for the MCA PGCET Test on. The merit of a candidate is determined solely on the marks obtained in the MCA PGCET-. Both Karnataka and Non-Karnataka candidates are eligible to apply for admission. Seat distribution is category based. Such as Government Seats both Reserved and General category. And Management Seats.
Eligibility:
Admission is open to Master of Computer Applications Course for all the candidates who have passed a Bachelor Degree of minimum 3 years duration. Admission to VTU MCA course shall be open for the candidates who have passed the Bachelor Degree examination with not less than fifty percent of the marks In aggregate of all the years of the degree examinations.
How to Apply:
-The application form is common to both Karnataka and Non-Karnataka Candidates seeking admission to MCA course.
-The applicants can obtain the brochure and application form by submitting the original
Demand Draft (DD) for Rs. 600/- (Rs. 300/- in case of Karnataka SC/ST and Category-I on production of documentary proof) drawn in favour of The Member Secretary, CPAC, payable at Belgaum.
-MCA Notification will be announced at vtu.ac.in and http://pgcet.vtu.ac.in.
-The filled application form along with attested copies of all the relevant documents must be submitted in duplicate, either in person or by Registered A/D Post/ Speed Post to The
Member Secretary, CPAC, Jnana Sangama, VTU, Belgaum – 590 018 .

- All Degree Marks Cards
- If the students are selecting seats under category, relevant documents need to be produced.
Important dates:
Date of Notification calling Applications: In the month of May every year
Issue of Brochure and Application form starts on: In the month of May or June every year
Last date for submission: In the month of June every year
Entrance test: In the month of July every year
Seat distribution: In the month of July or August every year

i need mca complete vtu syllabus for 2010 batch…

I am currently doing bca 2nd year,i am planning to do mca in VTU.I have read the eligibility criteria from the website of VTU, i am having an aggregate of 66% in my semesters,can i know whether there is any other criteria to take up the entrance exam.Can you please send me the information regarding this.
